Infrastructure

This institute has two campuses the temporary Ahalia campus in Kozhippara and the permanent Nila campus in Kanjikode.The Nila campus spread across 500 scenic acres at the foot of the Western Ghats, has been operational since 2019.
Both campuses boast excellent infrastructure, including auditoriums, multimedia-enabled classrooms, seminar halls, boardrooms, student laboratories, libraries, canteens, and fully Wi-Fi-enabled hostels.

Hostel

IIT Palakkad offers a fully residential campus with separate hostels for boys and girls, ensuring a safe and vibrant living environment.
The campus comprises six hostels, four located in the peaceful Nila Campus and two in the serene Sahyadri Campus.

Sports

IIT Palakkad fosters a vibrant community that values physical fitness and healthy competition.
Students enthusiastically participate in a range of sports and clubs, including Badminton, Football, Chess, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Gym, and PBM.

How To Reach

IIT Palakkad sits conveniently between Kerala’s Palakkad and Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, boasting two campuses of Ahalia and Nila.Ahalia is the older, and Nila acts as a transit campus, both are easily accessible via road, rail, and air.
From Palakkad Bus Stand and Railway Station, Ahalia is roughly 25 km away, while Nila is approximately 14 km away.
