- Dr Lankapalli Bullayya College of Engineering, previously known as Dr Lankapalli Bullayya College of Engineering for Women, was established in 2010 as part of the Society for Collegiate Education in Visakhapatnam.It originated from a vision to provide affordable, accessible, and quality education.
- The institution, which has been a center for education in Visakhapatnam since 1973, initially focused on women’s empowerment before transitioning to a co-educational college in the academic year 2020-2021.

GMRIT hostels, established in 1998, provide separate accommodation for men and women.
Currently, there are over 1000 residents.The Administrative Officer oversees the two hostels, ensuring effective staff performance and maintaining discipline among residents.
Sports
LBCE provides a large playground for various sports, including Athletics, Football, Cricket, Hockey, and Track and Field.
Separate courts are available for Volleyball, Basketball, Shuttle Badminton, and Kabaddi.The facilities include a gym equipped for athletic and strength training, promoting the mental and physical well-being of students.
