Quick Summary

• Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM) was established in 1984 by Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti, a charitable trust registered in Nagpur, India.
• It is known as Shri Ramdevbaba Kamala Nehru Engineering College Shri Ramdevbaba Sarvajanik Samiti (SRSS) has been engaged in various social activities.
• On March 18, 2010 the name of the college was changed to Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, abbreviated as RCOEM by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, Nagpur University.
• The Committee, which has been engaged in social service since 1967, established the college with a view to imparting quality education in this area.
• Since then, it has covered 30 years of fruitful travel technical education.
• The journey has seen the institute grow from strength to strength.
• There has also been the addition of new branches of engineering and the expansion of existing branches.
• The college has witnessed strengthening of faculty and enrichment of skills as well as expansion of infrastructure.

Infrastructure

• The library is open to all students and staff from 8am to 8pm on all working days.
• He has a rich collection of textbooks, reference books, volumes from national and international journals in all branches of Engineering.
• These books are classified according to the UDC classification scheme and the library follows an open access system.
• Online e-journals can be used such as IEEE, ASCE, ASME and EBSCO, ASCE library members should have access to all the materials available in the library.
• Library functions such as acquisition, circulation, and cataloging have been automated using GMS with integrated software ERP such as Web OPAC.
• The reference section of the library has a rich collection of reference books, handbooks, conference proceedings, encyclopedias and international editions of various reference documents.
• The library has a rich collection of audio video tapes, CDs, cassettes etc.
• The digital library has 20 dedicated computers with multimedia and internet access.
• The library is equipped with a computerized Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) for searching the availability of books.
• All transactions follow the barcode system.
• UG Students can borrow 4 no of books, PG Students can borrow 6 no of books.
• Books, Research/Scholarly and Faculty borrow 20 no of books from the Library at a time for a period of 14 days.

Hostel

• The institute has one of the best hostel facilities within the campus.
• The boys hostel is located at the rear end of the college while the girls hostel is located near Ramdeobaba temple.There are two hostel buildings for boys with a capacity of about 433 students.
• There are 27 Single occupancy rooms, 205 Double occupancy rooms and 19 Three occupancy rooms will be provided to all students.
• The girls hostel accommodates 145 students on triple and double occupancy basis.
• The Girls hostel includes 31 double seated rooms, 19 three seated rooms, 4 four seated rooms and 2 five seated rooms.
• The boys hostel can accommodate around 140 first year students while the girls hostel can accommodate around 36 students.
• The hostel provides segregated accommodation for first-year students, enabling ragging to be strictly prohibited in the hostel premises.
• The hostel provides round-the-clock caretakers and other necessary staff.
• The personal attention and supervision of the designated warden maintains a clean, healthy and cheerful atmosphere in the hostel premises.
• The hostel has a well-equipped gymnasium with trainers available from 6am to 7pm.
• The hostel provides Indoor/outdoor recreation and sports facilities like Chess, Carrom, FootBall, Volleyball etc.
• There is 5 MBPS speed & dedicated server in Boys Hostel premises Internet access is available in all hostel rooms.
• The Boys Hostel has mess and canteen facilities.
• The Hostel Mess operates on an annual contract basis and fully supports the needs of the students.
• The hygiene is maintained in the mess with high standards.
• Hostel Mess is fully collaborative with students deciding the weekly menu.
• The hostel has a Recreation room for watching Television and reading newspapers for students freshness.
