• The Central Library, spanning 36,000 square yards, caters to the needs of students, faculty, and staff with its diverse sections.
• It has a collection of over 55,000 books, 3,094 CD/DVD collections, 1,354 theses and dissertations, access to 46,409 online journals, and 2,695 conference proceedings through eShodhSindu Digital Library Consortium and INFLIBNET.
• Additionally, it offers subscription-based e-resources from various esteemed publishers and the library efficiently manages its operations with the integrated Library Management software e-Granthalaya 4.0.
• For digital access, it provides 30 PCs equipped with a range of subscribed and open e-resources for students, scholars, staff, and faculty members.

Hostel

• At SMVDU, all students are required to reside in the university hostels which are divided into four hostels for boys and two for girls.
• Each student’s room comes equipped with furniture including a bed, table, chair, almirah (wardrobe), ceiling fan, and electric light.
• In addition, hostels offer a range of amenities for students’ comfort and convenience that include designated study spaces, recreational areas, and high-speed internet available throughout the hostels.

• Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University sits nestled 40 km to the north of Jammu, amidst the picturesque Trikuta foothills and 14 km away from the holy town of Katra.
• The campus is approximately 39 km from both the Jammu Bus Stand and Railway Station, while the closest railway station Katra, is a mere 14 km away and there are direct trains to Katra also available.
