• The college was established in the year 1951 and the founders wisely decided to link it effectively to the Industrial Institute in the same campus as the PSG Industrial Institute.The college has around 8518 students with 15 engineering and technology departments apart from computer applications, management science, basic science and humanities.
• Among the various undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the college, 18 programs were accredited by the National Accreditation Board of AICTE as early as 1997.
• The departments benefit greatly from the expertise of more than 15 visiting faculty members from reputed institutions and industries.
• Each department conducts at least one national and international conference, seminar and workshop annually to effectively disseminate cutting-edge technologies and research findings for the benefit of teaching faculty and professionals.

  More than 505 research scholars are pursuing research projects leading to Ph D / MS / M Tech degrees and the college is a recognized QIP center for Masters and Ph D programmes.
