Library

The PTU Library is conveniently located at the heart of the campus, occupying 2407.46 square meters with two two-story buildings.
Its extensive collection includes 57,024 physical books spanning 31,259 titles, 2,972 book banks, 2,925 ISI codes, 1,371 proceedings, and 1,893 e-books available through platforms like IEEE and ProQuest.

Hostel

PTU offers three boys’ hostels, catering to 620 students, and a girls’ hostel with a capacity for 200 students, and all from diverse backgrounds across India reside in these hostels.
Each hostel is furnished with basic amenities including tables, chairs, fans, and common halls for indoor games.Mess facilities are provided in each hostel offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, chosen by the students collectively.

Sports

PTU boasts top-notch facilities in Physical Health and Sports Sciences, featuring both outdoor and indoor amenities.
The outdoor games enthusiasts include a 200-meter standard Athletics track, two Basketball courts, a Cricket ground, a Football field, a Handball court, a Kho-Kho field, a Kabaddi ground, two Volleyball courts, and a Throw ball court.

Placements

The Training and Placement (TNP) Cell facilitated opportunities for students to excel in industry placements.
In 2023, received a total of over 500 offers, with the highest package being INR 15 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 5.70 LPA and a placement percentage of 90%..

How To Reach

The PTU campus is located in Pillaichavady, around 12 km away from Pondicherry’s railway station and bus stand and approximately 160 km south of Chennai on the Bay of Bengal coast.
The Institute is easily accessible via town buses from Pondicherry and frequent buses run between Chennai and Pondicherry, with a travel time of about 3 to 4 hours.
