Infrastructure

NEHU has three campuses: the main campus in Umshing, Shillong, the Tura Campus in Chandmari, and the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Community College in Wahiajer, West Jaintia Hills District.

Library

The Central Library offers advanced computers and audio-visual equipment for both in-house and online use, it holds 296,000 books and back volumes.
The library also features 38,000 bound periodicals, subscribes to 316 foreign and 366 Indian journals, and regional resource center for scholars involved in teaching and research.

Hostel

NEHU provides in 12 boys’ hostels with 1,053 students, 11 girls’ hostels that can house 618 students, and an International hostel accommodating 24 students.
Each hostel offers single, double, and triple-seated room, with basic furniture, fans, and is a self-contained unit with its own mess.

Sports

The Department of Sports at NEHU organizes various sports activities at the University and its affiliated colleges on the Shillong and Tura campuses.
NEHU hosts tournaments in cricket, football, martial arts, athletics, table tennis, badminton, chess, basketball, and volleyball for both men and women.
