The National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Management – Thanjavur (NIFTEM-T), formerly known as the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT), began in 1967 as an R&D laboratory and is a leading research and educational institution under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India.
