Quick Summary

• In 1985, Seth Amilalji Agarwal intended to start an educational institution based on the old Indian Kurukula system to provide affordable education with excellent facilities to the youth of the socially and economically backward classes with their family members in the country.
• JDCOM was established by Jayadeva Education Society in the year of 2009 with 4 UG courses and one PG course.
• In addition, 3 UG courses and 4 MTech courses were added in 2011.
• In 2017, the college became a pioneer in the field by joining the only technical university in Maharashtra.
• The institute is affiliated with NAAC in the state of Maharashtra and has the highest CGPA of 3.16 on a 4-point scale with “A” grade.
• In 2019, the college was granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission on August 5.

Infrastructure

• The Library was Built Up with the Area of 660 sq m.
• The Library’s Reading Room Capacity is 150 Students.
• There is a separate section available for Circulation, Stack Room, Reading, Journal Reading, Newspaper, Multimedia Resources.
• The Library has 5245 Titles, 21796 Books, 3590 E Books and 72 CDs.
• The JDCOEM campus has numerous laboratories and studios that provide students with hands-on opportunities to learn a variety of practical skills.
• Conference rooms with excellent acoustics serve as perfect settings for seminars, paper presentations, panel discussions, guest lectures and similar functions.
• The Swami Vivekananda Library at JDCOEM is a treasure trove of knowledge with thousands of books on various subjects and has spacious reading rooms, discussion rooms, reference rooms and computer centres.
• JDCOEM has several classrooms of varying capacities, equipped with energy efficient designs that use maximum natural light with modern audio visuals and other features to enhance students’ classroom experience.

Hostel

• JDCOEM has seven hostels conveniently located within 3-5 kms of the college.
• The hostel provides comfort and care to out-of-town students and has other facilities like meals and laundry.
• The college has its own 27 buses which transport all the students from Nagpur and surrounding areas.
• JDCOEM has a spacious cafeteria serving only healthy, wholesome vegetarian food including breakfast, lunch and evening snacks.
• Packaged foods and plastic waste are all banned.
