Library

The Central Library at IIT Mandi is crucial for advancing its academic and research objectives, and it operates across two campuses, South and North, with three different units.
The library is automated using KOHA software, managing over 22,595 print books, 27,775 e-books, 13 databases, 36,248 conference proceedings, providing access to 49,093 e-resources, and all documents are RFID enabled.

Hostel

IIT Mandi’s campus is fully residential, providing accommodation for over 1800 students, and has 6 boys’ hostels, 2 girls’ hostels, and one married scholars’ apartment.
The hostel facilities include wi-fi internet, LCD televisions, washing machines, cloth dryers, microwave ovens, refrigerators, electric irons, and also indoor games available.

Sports

The Sports Society operates under Gymkhana and promotes sportsmanship, health, and adventure through events, tournaments, camps, and expeditions.
The Sports Complex offers excellent facilities includes a swimming pool, hockey field, tennis and basketball courts, and a volleyball court.

Placements

Career and Placement Cell assists students in finding suitable careers through career and guidance sessions.
In 2022-23, they secured 354 job offers, including 19 international offers, achieving an overall placement rate of 94.09%, while the median salary offered was Rs 22 LPA, and the average package was at Rs 27.86 LPA..

How To Reach

IIT campus is located approximately 14 km away from Mandi, sits on the left bank of the Uhl River in Kamand and Salgi villages, and serving as a central hub in Himachal Pradesh.
Mandi, a significant town in Himachal Pradesh, is around 475 km from Delhi, it takes a journey typically 10-12 hours by road, and alternatively, for a train journey up to Kiratpur Sahib or Chandigarh, followed by a 5-hour road trip to Mandi.
