Library

The Central Library at IIT Bombay is user-centric, innovative, and committed to excellence, is a pioneer in adopting new technologies, and is ahead of many libraries in the country.
The collection of around 4.40 lakh items, over 11,000 members, 2.51 lakh books and dissertations, morethan 37 lakh journals, 19 thousand e-books, 67,920 reports, standards, brochures, and other reading materials.

Hostel

IIT Bombay has extensive residential complexes managed by the Hostels Coordination Unit (HCU), and these oversee 17 hostels, including Horms No 1 to 16, Hostels No 18, and Tansa.
Each hostel has its caterers for dining, and features a well-equipped sports complex and a TV room.

Sports

The Sports Club provides a range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities for students, the Outdoor Facilities include a track with equipment for field events, Five cricket pitches, a hockey field, a full-size soccer field, and Six synthetic turf tennis courts.
The Indoor Facilities include two indoor basketball courts, a badminton club with 6 international standard wooden courts in an air-conditioned hall, a world-class wooden table tennis court with eight ITTF-approved tables, and a ballboat.

Placements

The Placement Office at IIT Bombay manages campus placements, balancing recruiter expectations with student aspirations.
In 2023-24, 531 companies participated, and 1516 students secured jobs, with the highest international package was Rs 3.67 crore LPA, while the highest domestic package was Rs 1.68 crore, and the average package was Rs 21.82 LPA..

Highlights

UNESCO awarded 27 fellowships to train Indian faculty in the USSR, and the Faculty members at the institute have received prestigious honors like the Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar and Padma Awards.
As per NIRF Ranking 2023, IIT Bombay is ranked 3rd in Engineering, 4th overall, 10th in Management, 7th in Innovations, and 4th in Research.
