Library

The library system at IITBHU Varanasi comprises the Shreenivas Deshpande Library and five departmental libraries, and it supports the institute’s teaching, research, and extension programs.
It boasts a rich print collection exceeding 142,000 volumes, including books, journals, theses, reports, standards, and pamphlets, users can access over 10,000 electronic journals and more than 3,500 electronic books and databases covering science, engineering, and technology.

Hostel

IIT BHU has 16 hostels that cater to both boys and girls, with some hostels named after renowned Indian mathematicians and scientists, and it boasts a total of 2750 rooms for boys and 795 rooms for girls.
Each hostel has a common room equipped with a TV, and various indoor games such as table tennis, chess, and carrom, and additionally students can enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi and LAN internet in their rooms.

Sports

IIT BHU, the Gymkhana boasts 24 clubs across 5 councils, offering diverse opportunities for students to learn and grow while enhancing their personalities.
The Sports Council oversees 19 different sports, including Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Carrom, Chess, Cricket, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, lawn tennis, Powerlifting, Squash, Taekwondo, Table-Tennis, Volleyball, and Weightlifting.

Placements

The Training and Placement Office assists students in securing placements after graduation and arranges internships with prestigious organizations.
In 2022-23, the campus received 308 companies, resulting in 1,260 job offers out of 1217 from domestic companies and 43 from international, and the highest salary offered was INR 1.20 Crore, with an average package of INR 22.77 LPA..
