Library

The IIEST, Shibpur library is one of the oldest and largest technical libraries in Southeast Asia, It spans around 3,000 sqm and serves faculty members, research scholars, students, and research workers from nearby universities and institutes.
The library is to support the creation of new knowledge by acquiring, organizing, and sharing resources and also offers value-added services.

Hostel

IIEST Shibpur has accommodated over 3200 students across 17 hostels, including 5 for undergraduate girls, 9 for boys with multiple seats, 5 single-seated hostels, and also a dedicated girls’ hostel for postgraduate and research scholars.
Each room in the hostels is equipped with basic furniture and ceiling fans, every floor has 2 washrooms, a common room for socializing, and a common mess with a dining hall and a water purifier for drinking water.

Sports

Sports at IIEST, Shibpur began with a passionate group of enthusiasts dedicated to fostering a vibrant sports culture, and it has grown into a family of over 2000 sports enthusiasts.
The campus boasts excellent sports facilities including a central sports ground, oval volleyball courts, a cricket pitch, basketball courts, tennis courts, badminton courts, and facilities for yoga and chess.

Placements

The Department of Human Resource Management (HRM) helps engineering students with job placements and practical training.
In 2022-23 years, students received a total of 634 job offers, the highest salary offered was 51.75 LPA, while the average salary offer was 27.5 LPA, and the overall placement rate was 81.7%..
