Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Entrance KEAM Exam

Introduction:
Like most of the Indian states, Kerala also conducts a separate valuation called Engineering Entrance Examination for getting participate in Engineering and related courses. Candidates who are appearing or passed for the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination will be provisionally admitted to this Examination under KEAM, if the candidate otherwise satisfies the eligibility conditions. All students should submit their marks online through the Official website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations for Engineering Courses and upload the mark list of the qualifying examination, on or before the date prescribed by the CEE through notifications. After their EEE is completed based on their mark, Merit list will be released based on that they will participate in counseling. Venues of this Entrance Examinations will be held at the selected venues in the Districts of Kerala then New Delhi, Mumbai and Dubai cities. No change happened after selecting the Examination center.

Exam Papers and Subjects:
The Subjects of the Examinations will be conducted on Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry with a relative weightage of 5:3:2 ratio. Paper one has Physics and Chemistry subjects and Paper two has Mathematics, Each Paper will be conducted two and a half hours duration. Students applying for admission to Medical & Medical Allied Courses shall have to appear for NEET-UG and have to qualify as per the qualifying criteria for applying B.Pharm Course shall have to appear for Paper one of the Entrance Examination and qualify as per the qualifying criteria. Students who wish to be considered ONLY for Engineering Courses including B.Tech. , Agri. Engg., B.Tech.Food Tech. under the Agricultural University of Kerala, B. Tech. Dairy Technology and B.Tech Food Tech courses under Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and B.Tech Food Technology course under Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, will have to write Paper one and two of Entrance Examination.

Type of Examination and valuation:
The Engineering Entrance Examination of Kerala is objective type with Multiple Choice Questions and based on a unique response, Every question has five suggested answers given, one of them will be the correct answer. The student should have to select and mark one of the letters A to E corresponding to the valid answer in the OMR Answer Sheet. The objective type examinations will be given in the form of Question Booklets, each Paper will have 120 questions to be answered in 150 minutes. Each correct answer will be awarded with four marks and for each incorrect answer will be deducted one mark from the total score. If the candidate does not answer a question there is no deduction from the total score But if more than one answer marked against a question will be considered as incorrect answer and it will lead to negative marks. So the candidates are advised not to mark an answer, if they don’t know the correct answer, because of negative marks. Even Though, the students who fail to answer not even a single question in any of the papers will be disqualified and cannot find a place in the Engineering Rank list. Same like, if a student didn’t answer any question in Paper one of this Entrance Examination will be disqualified and not eligible for the B.Pharm Rank list.
