Joint Entrance Examination JEE Mains is the common entrance exam conducted for engineering, architecture and planning courses in central government run institutions. For admission to Indian Institute of Technology IIT, candidate needs to appear for JEE Advanced exam after getting qualifying score in JEE Mains exam. JEE Mains score is used for admission into NIT, IIIT and GFTIs.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should be 17 years old at the time of admission or reach this age on or before the 31st of December in the respective admission year. There is no upper age limit and one can attempt NEET exam any number of times(no limit on number of attempts)Should have passed Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with greater than 60% marks.

Exam Centre

When applying for JEE Mains, candidates are required to choose four preferred cities of their choice. NTA will assign the examination city based on the candidate preferences, however for administrative or logistical reasons, an alternative city may also be allocated in rare situations.
